When you create a website on inspiredtype.com you can choose from many templates, some of which allow you to add your own custom banner at the top! Also you can control what pages appear and what they're called. All pages fall into two types, 1) a functional page 2) a standard content page. See below for explanations and features!

Functional Page Types
that you can activate.... all of these can be renamed by you to something more appropriate!

Photo Gallery
Post pictures from book signings or conferences. Keep your reader base coming back for more!

Blog
Record your thoughts, musing and stories from your life experiences. You also have the ability to make it appear as a "roll" on the home page of your site. Server automatically "pings" 14 different weblog ping servers (Including weblogs.com and technorati.com) whenever you add new topics!

Calendar
Add and/or View your events daily, monthly or yearly. Remind yourself of appointments, deadlines or parties coming up. You also have the ability to set up eRSVPs, similar to evite.com!

Press Releases
Keep your fans up-to-date with what's happening.

Contact Us
Displays your contact info and allows you to create custom forms to get extensive feedback from your site visitors!

Published Works
Input the ISBN numbers of your published works and have a page that pulls the price, book cover and description from Amazon.com. You can also toggle on/off customer reviews from Amazon!

Standard Content pages
Create your customized pages and change the names and content for each of them! You are allowed to add up to 4 of these. These combined with the variety of functional pages you can add above should cover your needs. You can also add unlimited "subpages" or links to any of these pages.

Custom Forms
You can create custom forms on the fly. You decide what fields to show and create new ones unique to your situation. You also decide what fields are required. These can be added to either the Contact Us page or any Standard Content Page or subpage. They can also be downloaded into Excel spreadsheets.

Extra Page Goodies
that you can activate! These appear in a sidebar column on each page of your site.

News Flash
You can post quick snippets of news for your visitors. You also have the option of making this appear as a "roll" on your home page and allowing logged in users to add their own news!

Join Mailing List
This is an email box and "go" button that will allow your visitors to enter their email and join your list of "users". You can then organize them into groups and/or send out email blasts to them!

Send to A Friend
This will display a button that a visitor can click on from any page and be able to enter in friends email addresses and send them a link to that page.

Sidebar Content
Basically this is just a blank area where you can insert any type of content you want. Great for adding useful links, or any regular book club meeting dates, or you can even use it to upload sponsor web ads or code for an affiliate program you might have with Barnes & Noble or Amazon.

Discussion
You can set up public and private discussions and allow logged in users to add their own topics and comment on other topics.

RSS Feed
You can input up to 5 URLs of syndicated news/blog feeds and have them appear on your site!

Amazon Wish List
You can input your email address and the site will pull in your Amazon.com Wish List

Templates
You can choose from over a dozen designs, most of which have at least 3 color choices. Don't like what you picked when you first started? No problem, you can easily change it without affecting your content!

Member/User Management
Easily add groups and users. Then you can tailor content, invites and emails for specific groups. Unlike most sites that issue one password which you must share with everyone, you can select which pages can be viewed by which group, and each person has their own unique username and password! It also has advanced search features and you can export your list to Excel and also to Microsoft Word Mailing Labels or Name Tags!
